What would you have done if you had been in my place?

It took me a year full of battles to finally find solace.

Can you please keep yourself in my shoes?

Can you understand the struggle? Please share your views.

Do you now understand why I could not attend the classes?

For a change, now I am regular- just like the masses.

Can you join the dots? Does it make any sense?

Trust me, it’s not easy- just in my defence.

Do you see an easy way out?

Cause it has been quite hard for me throughout.

How will you deal with the sleepless nights?

In trying to find a solution, I have crossed all the heights.

What would it be like if you skipped every meal- most days?

Bad physical health is what I ended up with during my tough phase.

Can you do me a favour and not treat the next person like this?

Cause no one likes to lose things that they never wanted to miss.

In this poem, basically, I am asking the audience to keep themselves in my place and then think how hard it has been for me for almost a year now. What would you have done if you were in my place? How would you have dealt with all those sleepless nights, assignment burdens, and work amidst the most stressful period of your life? What will you do when your body needs food but you cannot gulp down even a morsel?

It is not at all easy. Everyone has their own share of struggles to deal with. If you cannot help someone during their rough times, at least don't add to it.
